A lovely style of fizz packed with apple and pear fruit and a little leafiness adding to its charm. This is a great little blend using one of Piedmont's flagship varieties, Barbera, to express the intense red fruit that so many Northern Italian red grapes can offer. But the small addition of some special Pinot Noir, or Pinot Nero to the locals, gives this racy little rosé a touch of ripeness and generosity, just softening the edge of the redcurrant and cranberry character, resulting in a wine that is complete with or without food.
