Matured for 16 years on this remote Scottish island, the Isle of Jura 16 Year Old Single Malt is a beautifully balanced dram that brings together the rugged character of the island with a smooth, mellow complexity. On the nose, expect warm aromas of toasted oak, vanilla and a whisper of smoke. The palate is rich and layered with dried fruits, gentle spice and honeyed sweetness, giving way to a subtle maritime salinity and a lingering, elegant finish.
The Distillery The Distillery
Situated just 60 miles off the west coast of Scotland, Jura only has one road, one pub and one distillery! The local population of around 200 people are outnumbered by the native Red deer an incredible 30 to 1! It's hard to measure the importance the distillery plays in the island community, it is not only the largest employer, but is vital in sustaining the local economy. The people of Jura are ingrained in the distillery and their passion is key in making the iconic flavours that diversify throughout the range from the Journey through to the 21 year old single malt.
