The Wine The Wine
France
Region:Burgundy - Bourgogne
Blessed with the ownership of some excellent vineyards around Nuits-St-Georges, Domaine Jean Chauvenet is fully committed to letting these vineyards do the talking in its wine. Minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the winery allows the unique nuances to be carried through. Layers of plum, cherry, redcurrant, floral notes and sweet spice is what you'll get here. A very classy and complex wine that'll work wonders with a charcuterie board.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Christophe Drag
Christophe is devoted to wine with purity and there's no better way to express that philosophy than by making individual and unique wines in a very natural way. Although seemingly oxymoronic, both 'hands-off' and 'handmade' are the best descriptors of Christophe's approach here.
"Our Burgundy is tasting beautifully now and is best accompanied by pieces of red meat, eggs in brine, ham with the dregs or simply the dish that will make you happy." - Christophe Drag, Winemaker.
