The Wine The Wine
France
Region:IGP Mediterranean
The Mediterranean has provided inspiration to some of history's most talented artists and this series of wines (Artists' Playground) doffs the cap to their most colourful and eye-catching pieces. The image of brightly coloured boats bobbing in the harbour is one of the most memorable from visits to spots along France's southern coastline and like the famous artists themselves was an inspiration to the label design. So, pour yourself a chilled glass of this berry fruit-laden rosé and let yourself be whisked away to a sunny seashore, if only metaphorically on this occasion.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Nicolas Rager
Nicolas (or Nico, as everyone knows him) is hands-on from start to finish. At the Domaine, he oversees the vineyards, harvest, winemaking and blending. This approach creates wines that are precise, consistent and full of true Rhône character. Nico also works closely with fellow winemakers and growers across the region. He focuses on creating wines that feel authentic and pure, without losing sight of drinkability.
"I always look to keep the colour light on my Mediterranean rosé, but not too pale, as with a little extra depth to the colour comes a touch more brightness and depth to the fruit character which makes it complete as a wine." - Nicolas Rager, Winemaker.
