The Wine

Country of origin:

South Africa

Region:

Coastal Region

After the success of producing a straight Grenache in 2022, we wanted to take things up a notch and this vintage gave us the chance to add some black-fruit-packed Syrah and a dash of meaty Mourvèdre into the mix. This blackberry and cherry fruit-filled Cape red is a wine with wide-ranging appeal. It's a great wine to open for a dinner party or family gathering and a safe bet to make an occasion out of a moment. The blend is based on a majority of Grenache, with Syrah and Mourvèdre completing the trio. Mighty Mourvèdre lends that extra bit of structure for pairing with everyday dishes, or to raise the roof for a Sunday roast.
