Our Halt 'n Run wines are always a little bit special and this release has a beautiful balance expressing the region's warm climate coupled with skilled winemaking. The 2023 vintage benefited from a mild growing season with well-timed rains, leading to excellent fruit concentration and freshness. Offering ripe citrus and orchard fruit, layered with hints of toasted almond and vanilla from a little oak influence. The palate is rich yet refined, lively and structured. A versatile Chardonnay that pairs effortlessly with roasted poultry or creamy seafood dishes.

Sometimes we can't tell you who the actual winemaker is. The usual reason for this is that they make expensive wine under their own name and they don't want the world to know they're also supplying their wine much cheaper under a different label. Why do they do this? Either they need an injection of cashflow or they've produced too much and don't want to swamp the market and cheapen their brand (or maybe we've just been able to sweet-talk them into doing us a favour).
