The Crianza classification is a firm favourite at Virgin Wines. When made with great quality fruit and aged in fine oak barrels, the results can be outstanding. The purity of the Tempranillo fruit shines through here, its evolution has been given longevity by some expertly judged barrel ageing too, and the results are delicious! The harmony between the wild strawberry and raisin notes and the sweet vanilla and spice from the oak is on point right now and will develop nicely for another two years. Pour a glass alongside a wintry casserole and you'll not regret it!

José Javier Fernández, from Rincón de Soto, brings over 30 years of winemaking experience, including 25 at Bodegas Corcel. His deep understanding of the region and focus on fruit quality have been central to expressing Rioja's character and driving the continual improvement of this respected bodega.
