Gaintza Rosé is a rare gem from the Basque coast, made in limited quantities with equal parts Hondarrabi Zuri and the scarce red grape Hondarrabi Beltza. Grown just 300 meters from the Cantabrian Sea, this pale peach rosé is fresh, vibrant and deeply expressive of its coastal origin. With sustainable farming, hand-harvested grapes and gentle ageing on lees, each bottle offers a true taste of the land and sea. Delicate bubbles, wild berry aromas and silky balance make it perfect on its own or with flavourful bites. Refreshing, elegant, and irresistibly unique.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
The Lazkano Family
For four generations, the Lazkano family has crafted Txakoli on Spain's cool Basque coast. What began with José Antonio making wine at home grew into the Gaintza winery, founded in 1923. Deeply rooted in tradition, the family balances respect for their land with modern winemaking techniques. Their 25 hectares of vineyards, cooled by the Cantabrian Sea, are planted mainly with the native Hondarribi Zuri grape. Gaintza wines reflect the Lazkano family's heritage, innovation and commitment to quality.
"Gaintza Rosé is a joyful expression of rosé Txakolina, with an irresistible aroma that makes it perfect to enjoy on its own. Serve chilled at 6–8°C. It also shines alongside appetizers, croquettes, grilled vegetables, rice or even chocolate." - The Lazkano Family, Winemakers.
