The Wine

Country of origin:

Greece

Region:

Peloponnese

Omilos, meaning 'the collective', celebrates the community behind every bottle. Two indigenous grape varieties, Roditis and Malagousia and one international, Chardonnay, from Aegialia in Peloponnese, showcase all the typical features for which Greece is known - sunshine, purity and authenticity. A zesty blend bursting with notes of green apple, pear drops and peach, with just a hint of elderflower on the vibrant, crisp finish.

The Winemaker

Leonidas Nassiakos
Winemaker:

Leonidas Nassiakos

Leonidas, a third-generation winemaker, studied oenology at Patras University in Greece. He became chief winemaker at Chateau Semeli in 2000, while also crafting wines with his father at the family estate. Over the years, he has earned a reputation as the 'King of Moschofilero' in Greece. Today, he collaborates with George Kintonis at Kintonis Winery, producing exceptional wines from both indigenous Greek and international grape varieties.

"Here, we wanted to highlight the vibrancy and complexity of local grapes Roditis and Malagousia. By blending these alongside the well-known variety, Chardonnay, we have created a crisp and juicy white with ripe notes of green apple, peach and a touch of florality on the finish." - Leonidas Nassiakos, Winemaker.
